Through The Lens documents 20 houses designed by the influential Bulgarian-born architect Iwan Iwanoff

The revolutionary work of architect Iwan Iwanoff has long captivated Melbourne-based Architectural Photographer Jack Lovel. Iwanoff’s aesthetic left a lasting impression on a young Jack, who spent his formative years in a family home designed by the Bulgarian-born, Perth-based visionary.

More than two years ago, determined to document Iwanoff’s stunning body of work, Jack set out to capture the remaining relics of the architect’s career. Jack’s documentation of Iwanoff’s oeuvre represents a personal journey which dates back to his upbringing in one of these iconic homes over 30 years ago- including Tomich House, the six-bedroom house that has been home to Jeanswest founder Alister Norwood, superstar Rod Stewart and also Liz Davenport.
